In this case it’s the talented and exquisitely tasteful creations of Mica‘s Chef Chip Roman. He’ll be serving a particular dish at his special Crab Tasting that pays homage to the Le Bec Fin original founder and owner; a man responsible for creating America’s finest French restaurant.
When Chef Roman worked in the kitchen at Le Bec Fin, he developed a deep love for the Galette de crab dish, a lighter than air crab and shrimp-laden creation that was regarded as one of the restaurant’s signature menu items. It’s one of Roman’s favorite dishes from that chapter of his career and he looks forward to serving it to any fortunate guests entertaining the Crab Tasting Menu. It will be available tonight, July 13 and Saturday, July 14 so don’t putz around with this one.
Although Mica is known for serving skillful interpretations of dishes from those chefs he worked with in the past, this Le Bec Fin offering will be created 100% to a tee. Since part of Roman’s job at Le Bec Fin was to teach new hires how to replicate the dish, you know you’ll be getting the real deal. The other items on the full $45 crab tasting menu certainly won’t disappoint either.
