Editor’s Update: Due to inclement weather, the Fall for the Arts Festival was re-scheduled to its rain date of Sunday, Oct. 14, 11 am – 5 pm.
Germantown Avenue in Chestnut Hill will surrender itself to food, music, art, crafts and more on Sunday, October 7th. Can you complain about a take-over such as that? We didn’t think so. In fact, chances are you’ll see little to no protesting and, instead, hundreds of people enjoying the annual Fall for the Arts Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. You should join them!
The historic boulevard will be transformed into a festive outdoor arts and crafts marketplace as a way to welcome fall and celebrate local joys. More than 150 talented artists from throughout the Mid-Atlantic region will have their work on display and everything will be available for purchase. When the art viewing and buying is finished, you can always post up at a nearby restaurant and enjoy a lovely al fresco meal before colder temperatures settle in.
Don’t be afraid to bring the kids so they can enjoy the live music on two stages, create their own works of art, and choose a favorite ride in a special amusement park.
The best part? It’s all FREE.
