City Tap House to Host Exclusive Stone Brewing ‘Vertical Epic’ Tasting, Dec. 22

A truly rare beer tasting will hit City Tap House on December 22nd, just in time to serve as the perfect present for that craft brew lover in your life or as a gift to yourself. Why not? You deserve to attend the Stone “Vertical Epic” Event, unfolding from noon until 3 p.m. and featuring a vertical tasting of Stone Brewing Company’s highly sought after Vertical Epic ale series.

Stone Vertical Epic ales have been bottle-conditioned, aged and released over the course of 11 years, beginning on February 2, 2002 (02.02.02).  Since then, a portion of the original batch brewed has been opened one year, one day and one month after its predecessor. The final vintage will be available after December 12, 2012 (12.12.12) while they last.

Although it would cost upwards of $500 and it’s nearly impossible too coordinate such a tasting on your own, City Tap House is bringing it to you for just $100 per person. That price includes tax and gratuity, a private, butlered tasting of nine of Stone’s eleven once-yearly releases plus bites from City Tap House’s kitchen and more!

Feeling lucky? Leading up to the event, City Tap House will host a contest via Twitter (follow hashtag #STONEverticalPHL) to give away two tickets.

Tickets for City Tap House’s Stone “Vertical Epic” Event are available now and can be purchased HERE. While the idolized Greg won’t be there, guests can enjoy an informal Q-and-A with Stone representative Lee Marron and beer steward Andy Farrell – plus, keepsake Vertical Epic glassware from Stone Brewing will be yours for the taking. Additional non-Epic Stone beers will also be available for purchase on draught throughout the event and once City Tap House opens to the public at 3 p.m.
