Cliveden Carriage House Hosts Uncorking the Past, Dec. 14

Take a unique peek at Philadelphia history this Friday, December 14th from 7 to 9 p.m., when Cliveden Carriage House on Germantown Avenue explores fermentation at it’s finest. Of course, no fermentation lesson would be complete without a tasting so that is on the agenda as well!

This Uncorking the Past event will feature Patrick McGovern, the Scientific Director of the University of Pennsylvania Museum’s Biomolecular Archaeology Laboratory, as he leads an intriguing discussion of ancient-style craft brews. Guests will tour the facility with Patrick, while sampling sips along the way. Plus, to put this one in the books as a true tasting, complimentary plates for pairing will be available, showcasing worldly recipes.

Tickets are $60 per person, and reservations can be made by emailing [email protected]. Cheers!
