Coming Soon to Black Walnut Winery: “The Murder at Spookum Hills — A Halloween Murder Mystery Dinner”

Already pin-pointing plans for your Halloween agenda? Looking to kick things up a notch for 2012?

Consider joining Black Walnut Winery for “The Murder at Spookum Hills — A Halloween Murder Mystery Dinner,” which is slated to unfold Saturday, October 20, 7 — 10 pm at their Sadsburyville HQ.

Black Walnut Winery’s HQ will transform for one night—and one night only—to the ominous mansion of the rich and eccentric Simon McCobb for his annual Halloween Haunted House. The residence sits atop a hill on the edge of the town of Spookum Hills. The estate includes a grand ballroom, stately dining room, surrounding woods, and a few nightmarish secrets. Before this night, few people have dared to trespass on the dreadful premises for fear of the haunted domain and the eerie and elusive McCobb family.

Participants will be assigned a character (in advance) to play as a part in the upcoming murder mystery at the McCobb estate (also known as Black Walnut Winery). The beauty of this themed event is that you are not only attending a dinner and a show — you are an active participant of the show! Tickets must be purchased in advance and reservations are REQUIRED by Sunday, October 7th so that BWW have ample time to send you your character information and costume suggestions.

Tickets are $60/person, which includes the Murder Mystery activities, Black Walnut wine and dinner, as gloriously-prepared by Amani’s BYOB‘s Chef Jon Amann, the recent “Best Chef of Chester County” winner for the third year running. Only 25 tickets will be sold, and attendance is for those 21 years of age and older.

Purchase tickets at the winery or by calling 610-857-5566. Find Black Walnut Winery’s HQ for the spooky affair at 3000 Lincoln Highway in Sadsburyville. More info on the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail member or this event is available by visiting blackwalnutwinery.com.
