October 14 Heats Up with West Chester Rotary’s Chili Cook-off, Free Tickets Here

The Rotary Club of West Chester‘s 10th Annual Chili Cook-off will fill the downtown streets of your favorite Philadelphia suburb on Sunday, October 14 from 10 to 4 pm. Guests will gather from near and far to eat their way through delicious chili offerings and share their honest opinions. If you haven’t snagged tickets yet, read on to find out how YOU CAN WIN (4) wristbands and (2) t-shirts, just by listening.

But first, let’s delve into the main attraction, chili, plus all the other fun activities you can tackle at this annual event. Like what, you ask?

Well, aside from eating the comfort food, guests are encouraged to arrive as early as 10:30 am and witness over 50 teams as they work together in creating, what they hope, is the best darn chili ever! The contestants are a fiery range of people, including chefs from your favorite local restaurants like Iron Hill Brewery & RestaurantDoc Magrogan’s and The Bordley House Grille, just to name a few. Plus, hometown cooks, non-profits and volunteers will also bring their a-game to compete. It’s anyone’s competition, with many categories to take a place in, so be sure to cast your votes if attending.

Better yet, the West Chester Chili Cook-off is definitely a family friendly event. Kids 10 and under get in for FREE with a paid adult. In between bites, parents are welcome to lead their children to the Wells Fargo Family Fun Center where, for just $5, young ones can enjoy an inflatable play land. Even more fun for all ages is PA Eats Photo Booth, which you can expect to spy for the first time ever this year, and get in on the action!

In addition to the chili, other favorite foods will be up for grabs like Dia Doce‘s cupcakes, Mompops refreshing treats, and tasty bites from Cakes & Candies by Maryellen. If you’re looking to take a break from the food, various craft booths will have unique offerings that you can’t find anywhere else and music from Manny Trio is scheduled to play from 12 to 3:15 pm.

The entire day is chock full of tasty and entertaining activities but the chili eating takes place from noon to 3 pm, with the much-anticipated award ceremony immediately following.

Now that you got a big scoop from PA Eats, do you want to be a part of the chili madness? Here’s how you can make that happen:
