There is always a reason to celebrate and Craft Ale House is drinking proof of that. Starting this weekend, July 13 and lasting until July 21, they will celebrate Belgian Independence Day in a similar fashion that the Belgians would. Join them for fine beer, joyful company and a festive gathering to commemorate a moment on July 21, 1831 when the Belgians put their foot down.
They said no more wooden shoes, no more tulips, and began their freedom from the Dutch. When such an exciting occurrence unfolded years and years ago, they held a beer festival to rejoice in their new-found liberty. Craft Ale House won’t be having a big bang party during the 9-day span, but they still plan on having a great time and you can’t argue with that!
They will also celebrate St. Arnoldus Day on Wednesday, July 18th. Although, unrecognized by many, St. Arnoldus was the patron saint of Belgian beer who urged the masses to drink beer instead of water during a plague epidemic. Because beer was sterilized in production and the local water was not, the people were saved.
With a combination of miracles like those, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t stop into the Craft Ale House between July 13 and July 21 and cheers a few brews to the Belgians!
