Downingtown Main Street Association Presents Dash Of The Living Dead, Oct. 27

Ever hear the expression “run for your life”? This October 27th, that won’t just be an expression for Downingtown Main Street Association’s Dash of the Living Dead. Whether you choose to complete the 5K Run/Walk like a zombie or just for fun, this one of a kind event will capture you and a mass of running frights on video, as everyone bolts through town. The goal is to be the first group to cross over Downingtown’s new foot bridge over the Brandywine, but win or lose, it’s going to be a grand time.

Presented by Downingtown Main Street Association (DMSA), the race will occur prior to Downingtown’s Halloween Parade. Registration is $40 and includes an Un-Dead After Party with a great spread from Downingtown restaurants, entertainment, and beer from Victory Brewing Company. Zombified runners (or those in costume) will earn an extra beer for their extra effort.

On-site registration will take place Saturday at 12 noon and the race begins at 2 p.m. If you procrastinate, registration will cost $45. It’s $40 for those who sign up in advance. Proceeds of the race will benefit the Borough of Downingtown.
