You’ve probably been wanting to kick Cystic Fibrosis in the butt for a while but didn’t know the right approach? We recommend teaming up with our friends over at Drink Philly. They are throwing a craft beer festival on Saturday, September 8th at the Sheet Metals Workers Hall on Columbus Boulevard and Washington Avenue. This gathering of good brews and good crews will benefit the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Many of your local faves will be at the 2012 Phestiv-Ale – including favorites Victory, Yards, Troegs, Slyfox, and Weyerbacher. Some international brews will grace the scene as well, with a pleasant mix of Allagash, Lagunitas, and Oskar Blues. Guests can tip their cups and try their luck in various raffle drawings for American Airline miles, two towers of beer, and autographed sports memorabilia. There will be carnival games, circus acts, and snacks offered by Penn’s Landing Caterers.
It’s all for a great cause and it’s going to be a great time! Tickets are $45 online or $55 at the door for either of two tasting sessions: Noon – 3:00 p.m., or 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Designated driver tickets are available for an additional $15 per destination. Visit Phestivale.
