Friday Night Blues, Booze & Food at Avalon Pasta Bistro

Summer is on its way and that means Blues Festivals popping up left and right.

Avalon Pasta Bistro didn’t want to miss the action so they are hosting Friday Night Blues, Booze, and Food; a deliciously rhythmic combination. On Friday, May 11 an entire Blues Party will unfold on the grounds of this Downingtown restaurant located in a turn-of-the-century house. Besides the Victory beer guests will be able to indulge in, the chef will be cooking “whatever they feel like”. In the true attitude of Blues music, Avalon will throw any inhibitions they had to the wind. There will be no menu and no one leaves hungry.

John Brandt-Lee, chef and owner of Avalon, will keep the doors open from 10 pm until 1 am for live blues, complimentary Victory, Sangria and the hippest party in Downingtown. He warns, however, that “this is not an event for the timid,” and it may even become a monthly tradition, featuring new artists, new foods, and guest chefs perhaps.

Until future plans are solidified, just make sure you get your Bluesy butt to Avalon Pasta Bistro on Friday, May 11 to enjoy Harpist Steve Guyger (who has toured with the late Jimmy Rogers & has played with many Chicago bluesman and contemporary players. The cost is just $35 per person which includes your music, beer, sangria and plenty of food. Nobody will leave hungry! Guests may also bring their own bottle if preferred. Snag your tickets for the event by calling 610-873-4200.
