Georges’ to Host Sonoma County Wine Dinner

Georges’, Chef George Perrier’s answer to casual stylishness on Philadelphia’s Main Line, announces the details for their monthly wine dinner on Friday, February 24th, 2012, beginning at 7pm. This month’s focus is Sonoma Country.

Guests will enjoy five courses each perfectly paired with tastes of Sonoma Country’s signature pours. The evening’s full menu is below:

1st course

Salad of warm grilled octopus – Sweet onion, tomato, feta cheese

paired with: Beau RivageBlanc Sauvignon Blanc “ Bordeaux” 2009

2nd course

Asian style crab cake – Asian pear, mango salad, sambalsauce

paired with: Huntington Cellars, Chardonnay 2009

3rd course

Muscovy duck breast – Sweet rutabaga, orange-chipotle sauce

paired with: Windsor Sonoma “ Russian River” Pinot Noir 2008

4th course

Lamb rack – with merguezsauce Butternut squash, spicy red pepper jelly

paired with: Geyser Peak “Estate” Alexander Valley, Cabernet sauvignon 2008

5th course

Parisian macaroon – trio Double chocolate, raspberry cream 

paired with: Zin91, Dry Greek Valley, Zinfandel 2009
