It’s the season of giving! Family and friends are first on our list and deserve a well thought out present but we can’t forget about those who are truly in need. Chef Bruce of Jake’s & Cooper’s Wine Bar has the right idea…for the 16th year in a row!
On Sunday, December 23rd from 8 to 9 a.m., the chef and his hopping spot will join forces with Journey’s Way, North Light Community Center, and the Manayunk Development Corporation to cook, assemble and deliver holiday dinners to homebound senior citizens.
Over 50 volunteers, including their families, will bring 400 meals to the elderly and homebound, making their holidays a little bit brighter. The meals will consist of turkey and all of the trimmings and will be delivered to seniors in Manayunk, Roxborough, East Falls, Germantown and parts of North Philly.
