New Look, Menu & Wine Program Debuts at Jake’s and Cooper’s Wine Bar

If you haven’t been by Jake’s and Cooper’s Wine Bar recently, there’s a good chance you’ll have to do a double take when arriving in the near future! The popular eatery has not only updated the space, but they’ve tweaked menu as well!

In light of their 25th Anniversary this past Summer, chef/owner Bruce Cooper thought it was a good time to re-conceptualize his formal dining room and menu, and re-conceptualize he did. The major renovations bring out fall colors, such as copper, brown, orange and red, which bring the space to life. Thanks to a new layout in the front of the restaurant, the space is more open and offers great diversity in the seating. Locally sourced, storm-salvaged Black Walnut trees were fabricated into table tops and an enclosed glass wine room was created in the rear, to showcase the new boutique wine that is offered at far below regular marked-up prices. The wine room was constructed of reclaimed Hemlock floor joists (Pennsylvania’s state tree) from a Germantown church that was constructed in the 1890s.

Looking beyond the furniture and toward the tastier items, Jake’s new menu features salads, small plates, pizzas, entrees and a raw bar. Guests can choose from shrimp cocktail, sous vide with barbeque mustard and jalapeño relish, charcuterie with select salumis and ham, grilled octopus salad with smoked paprika sauce and much, much more! Old favorites like Jake’s famous Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, the Prime Burger, and the Cookie Taco still remain. Cooper’s will continue to be first come, first served. But, diners can request reserved seating at Jake’s by calling 215-483-0444.
