No event before it has ever captivated such high class offerings in one exquisite venue. Fine food & wine lovers are set to gather at The Desmond in Malvern for Main Line Today‘s Food & Wine Affair slated for Saturday, September 22. Yes, that’s tonight but thanks to the flexible event space options of The Desmond and fine planning from event organizers, some tickets still remain for you to snatch up at the last minute.
While the Grand Winemaker’s Dinner wrapped up on Friday, September 21 with Chef Chris Calhoun serving seven immaculate courses for a top notch wine-pairing dinner, the sleek and sophisticated happenings for Saturday will begin at 11:30 and last until 4pm. The grand day of tasting will feature wines from around the world and specialty-food stations hosted by some of the most exclusive restaurants in the Philadelphia suburbs.
Better yet, more than 3 dozen of the 200 wines poured on Saturday have retail price points over $50 a bottle! In addition to all the fine wines, there will be great eats from some of the Main Line’s BEST restaurants like Alfredo’s, George’s, Creeds, General Warren Inne, Xilantro, A La Maison, Matador and more. Plus, who can forget about the souvenir wine glass?
Some of the wines are very exclusive but you can purchase them right on site through the state store, which means no special ordering and waiting for the bottle at home. To keep things safe, there are special hotel packages being offered so guests can conveniently walk to their hotel room. Or, if it’s home your sleepy body seeks, a shuttle will be running to and from the Paoli Amtrak Station.
There aren’t many (if any) good reasons not to attend this event and we have yet to mention that the entire affair is for a great cause. That’s right, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Philabundance. So why haven’t you purchased tickets for yourself, friends and family just yet? You don’t have to answer that question. Instead, head to the Main Line Today Food & Wine Affair event website and start clicking!
Cheers!
