It’s time to spend a hot summer at the hottest events. Penns Woods Winery has something planned for everyone beginning in June and lasting through August. They’ll be having all sorts of fun on a regular basis, so there you don’t want to miss the excellent line up. From picnics and concerts to yoga and painting, how could you not pencil more than one into your schedule?

Thursday, June 28 (6 – 10 pm)
Night Market Philadelphia – Philly’s favorite street food & drink festival returns to 9th & Washington Avenue. Penns Woods Winery will have three tents set up at the market pouring wine by the glass and selling bottles. They’ll also have suggested pairings with local food vendors. They will be pouring two of their most popular summer sips in the VIP tent hosted by Quest Love, drummer of The Roots.
Saturday, June 30 (12 – 7) & Sunday, July 1 (12 – 5)
Big Bang BBQ – Join Penns Woods for and Independence Day Celebration you won’t forget. They will have wine by the glass specials for only $5 or $1 off your first glass of wine if you are wearing Red, White, and Blue. There will be games like washers, corn hole, bocce ball, bean bag toss, hoolah hoops and football. Musical performances include Arianne Rox from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday and The Brandywine River Boys from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Fresh BBQ Sandwhiches and Crab Cake Sandwiches by Muse Restaurant will be available on Saturday but guests are encouraged to pack a picnic on Sunday.
Wednesday, July 4 (12 pm – fireworks end)
Fireworks & Wine – Sip on $5 wine by the glass, indulge in your favorite picnic munchies and enjoy an extravagant fire works show across the street from the Vineyard. Fireworks are great, but always better with a good wine so stick around until after dark when the real fun begins! Local cheese and crackers will be available for sale!
Sunday, July 8 & Sunday, July 22 (11 am – 12:30 pm)
Yoga in the Vineyard – There is nothing more relaxing than a yoga session. Unless, of course, that yoga session is positioned amongst the beautiful and serene setting of the Penns Woods Vineyard. An event so popular that June’s date is already sold out, this is a truly unique experience for beginners or pros. Each class is $3 and includes a 60 minute yoga class, wine tasting with local cheeses, a souvenir glass and 10% off wine purchases for the day. Register HERE.
Friday, August 10 & Friday, August 17 (7 – 8:30 pm)
Sunset Yoga in the Vineyard – If the morning doesn’t do it for you, stop on by at 7 p.m. for the same yoga experience, only this time, the sun will be going down while you stretch, bend and relax! The class is still $35 for the 60 minute yoga class, wine tasting, souvenir and 10% discount. Wear comfortable clothing and be sure to register ahead of time.
Saturday, August 4 (1 – 4 pm)
Sunshine Painting in the Vineyard – “Wined” down the final days of summer with art, music, wine and fun! Artist Shelly Gephart, of Canvas Mixers, will be on-site to assist you with painting a sunshine original canvas. Guests will also be able to design an inspring joyrox with Bonnie Neubauer and hammer out a piece of Wendell August metal art. Wines will obviously be available from Penns Woods and they’ll pair perfectly with Dia Doce cupcakes. All the artsy fun and more will be serenaded by musician, Arianne Rox. Those interested in attending the afternoon of crafty fun should register by August 1.
