The zoo is not just for kids anymore. On July 21st, leave the youngsters at home (with a babysitter, of course) and head to Summer Ale Festival at the Philadelphia Zoo! Back for another year, it’s time to experience delicious and sustainable food from a number of everyone’s favorite local restaurants. There will also be great music, majestic animals, and tasty craft beers from over 21 breweries.
The festivities will take place from 6:30 to 10 pm, at which time guests can sip some of the best brews from the areas greatest brewing companies such as Victory, Dock Street, Triumph, Lancaster, Boxcar and many more. All that drinking is sure to work up your appetite, so it’s a good thing a variety of food vendors–from Melt Down Grilled Cheese and Bourbon Blue to The Couch Tomato Cafe and Lucky Strike–will be on site for your tasting pleasure.
It’s time to view the zoo in a whole new light. Seasonal ales, local cuisine and animals from all over the world? If that’s not the dream, we don’t know what is.
Tickets are $95 for VIP, $65 for General Admission, and Designated Drivers tickets cost $35 and include tickets for non-alcoholic beverages and restaurant sampling stations.
