Support People’s Light in Presenting Free Community Events, Coming Soon: “Beautiful Boy”

People’s Light and Theatre is presenting a FREE Community Matters event on May 14 at 7 pm.

The events are staged readings of play scripts as a catalyst for discussion, connection, and sharing of resources. Attendees will learn more about a topic of interest from the experts and perhaps get more involved with the issue. The May 14 showing brings to its guests “Beautiful Boy” by Pete Pryor. The story, directed by Samantha Bellomo of People’s Light and Theatre, is a two-person impressionistic piece that follows a family on a journey from a fearful diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder to learning how to cope. The performance will have your emotions stirred about life, while still including laughter and much love!

After the show, a panel is open for discussion welcoming family members and those impacted by ASD on a daily basis, as well as professionals from organizations that assist families. Community Partners that made this event possible include the Chester County Intermediate Unit, the Wanna PLay Program, M.E.C.A., and the Autism Society of America.

Although the event is free, reservations are kindly recommended and they can be made HERE or by calling 610-644-3500.
