Taking Flight at Bistro on Bridge

I’m at the Bistro on Bridge for Happy Hour on Friday. My eyes wander up and down the chalkboard. Do I want a Bourbon Stout? How about I switch it up with a light Witbier? What’s this? They just put a new Winter Lager on tap? Well, this is overwhelming! How can I possibly commit to just one pint? Cue Under Pressure on the jukebox, sir.

Problem solved. Now, at Bistro on Bridge, you can have your Goose Island Bourbon Stout, a Boulder Sweaty Betty and Samuel Adams Winter Lager all at once!  As of November 30th, Bistro on Bridge launched Flights to the Craft Beer experience. For only $8, you can choose four 5 ounce selections from the 15 beers they offer on tap.

But the Flight experience doesn’t end there.

Each Flight arrives on a placemat filled with Beer Facts, Trivia, Celebrity Beer Quotes (even Homer Simpson makes the cut) and a Beer Rating system! That’s right! You can rate the beers after you sample them. Definitely helps with the decision making process for next time. Or if you’re feeling adventurous, you’ll have your beer lined up after you’re done. Just watch out for that Bourbon Stout at 15% ABV.

As simple as it seems, the placemat adds to the experience and fun that comes with being a Craft Beer aficionado. I remember when I jumped on the Craft Beer Bandwagon years ago, it began with simple awareness of what was offered on tap at the local bar. Today it’s something I enjoy exploring, a lifestyle choice. Bistro on Bridge is a great start for anyone willing to explore the same journey.

Whether you’re a diehard Craft Beer connoisseur like me or enjoy the occasional lager, Flights at Bistro on Bridge offer everyone the same experience: the ability to try something new. Best part of all, Flights count towards the Craft Beer Club Card. One more way to receive a stamp towards free Appetizers! Cheers!
