The Get Well Gabby Foundation Hosts 1st Annual Softball Tournament, Sept. 8

If you were a high school or college softball hero, or even if you have touched a bat at some point in your life, then Get Well Gabby wants you on September 8th. They are calling all Softball players in Phoenixville and surrounding areas for their 1st Annual Softball Tournament to be held in Kimberton (KYAL Fields located at the corner of Route 113 and E. Seven Stars Road).

The first 16 teams to sign up will get to play in the event. The team cost is $250 for a minimum of 10 people (max 12) per team. You may also sign up as an individual and be placed on a team in need for $25. The event will raise money for pediatric cancer research. Learn more about Get Well Gabby by clicking here.

There is a need for players, fans, and volunteers so anyone interested is urged to get involved. The snack bar needs to be fully stocked and manned, as well as their bake sale and kids activities from 10-2 p.m. If none of that strikes your fancy then perhaps you could assist with course set up and clean up, and everything else it takes to make the day successful. If you’re interested in helping out, there will always be a way to do so. Please contact Kim Rodgers via email at [email protected] for a chance to pitch in.

More details may be found at their Facebook page. The entire day of fun will serve as a way to spread awareness and make money for the Get Well Gabby mission of crushing Pediatric Cancer out of the ball park.
