The Industry Announces “Off the Wall” Series, Jump-starting with Iron Hill Brewery on Nov. 27

The Industry is a distinctive Philadelphia bistro where diners are surrounded by amazing food and drink, literally. Even the walls are adorned with photos of unique artisans, which led The Industry crew to announce their first ever Off the Wall Series.

On Tuesday, November 27th at 7:30 p.m., owners Dave Garry and Heather Gleason and Chef Pat Szoke will host the event, featuring the work of talented Philly-area food and beverage professionals whose portraits adorn the walls. First up? Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant!

The kick-off event will feature brewers Paul Rutherford (pictured right) and Chris LaPierre (pictured left) of award-winning Chestnut Hill, PA and Maple Shade, NJ Iron Hill locations. The brewmasters plan to collaborate with Chef Szoke for a five-course meal.  The dinner is $60 per person, including beverage pairings, tax and gratuity.

“Many of the photos on our walls have a fun story behind them. For instance, why is Chris carrying hand soap?” says Chef Szoke.  “The idea behind our “Off the Wall” series is to have our colleagues come by and tell their stories while guests are enjoying their great food and/or drink.”

After sipping a few beers from Chris & Paul, Chef Szoke was inspired to create a tempting menu which will include Mussels with house-made chorizo, Duck Liver Crostini, Puffed Faro, and Braised Lamb with winter root vegetables on a bed of polenta. For dessert, diners will enjoy “Coffee and Cream”, a coffee porter-infused pot du crème, paired with Imperial Coffee Porter, a full-bodied version of Iron Hill’s flagship Pig Iron Porter, infused with locally roasted Nicaraguan and Sumatra coffee beans.

Some of the beers slated for sipping are Biere de Garde, Sweet Leaf IPA, St. Modestus, and Om Nom Nom. With a line-up such as that, you know it’ll be great!
