Upcoming Cooking Classes Unfolding Through Fall at Ketmala’s Kitchen

It’s never too late to take up a new hobby or enhance a current one, especially if it involves food! This fall, all are invited to Ketmala’s Kitchen for fun-filled and educational cooking classes.

If you’re going to learn something, learn it from the best. Ketmala Phoumalavong has a rich background in cooking as she grew up in one of the greatest culinary capitals of the world, France. She took daily walks to “la boulangerie” (bakery) to get the freshly baked baguette or “la tarte chocolat poire” (chocolat pear tart) depending on the occasion. Afterward, she would gather in the kitchen to observe her mother and father as they prepared delicious meals from scratch. She is now in West Chester and willing to share her experiences to enrich the lives of others.

There are a variety of classes up for grabs so pick a favorite or maybe take a few! Each class will offer something completely new and present a wonderful learning opportunity. When you’re done getting your foodie fill, you’ll love being able to head back home and share the lessons learned with friends and family.

October 25:  Savory Little Asian Dumplings from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m.

November 3:  Sophia Lia Jewelry Party from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. -FREE admission, please contact Ketmala for details

November 10:  Artisan Bread – SOLD OUT

November 30:  French Macarons from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

December 6:  Holiday Cooking from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m. – Make Ahead Holiday Dinner

December 15:  Holiday Baking from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. – Mini Cakes, Cookies & Truffles

If your calendar is already looking pretty full, save time down the road. There are more classes to come in January, February & March, which will be all about Warm Comfort Food, Winter Soup, Thai Food, Wintery Rolls, Sushi Night, French Pastries, How to Make French Baguettes, and more!

The chef is also available on Mondays or Wednesdays for private classes, which must be booked 15 days in advance. More information available HERE.
