Wyebrook Farm Announces Next Farm Dinner with Doe Run Farm’s Chef Kristian Holbrook

If you missed the first and you missed the second, here’s your next shot at experiencing the already infamous Chef Dinners at Wyebrook Farm. They’ve received nothing but praise for their first two successful events and the upcoming affair is already causing a stir.

The November 10th Dinner will feature Chef Kristian Holbrook of Doe Run Farm. From his Coatesville location, Kristian supplies some of the amazing artisanal cheeses that are featured in the Market at Wyebrook. He practiced as a professional chef for years before switching over to farming. Itching to revisit his past, this Wyebrook Dinner was the perfect opportunity to do just that. Kristian plans to create a meal that will highlight the variety of exceptional cheeses and seasonal produce from Doe Run, as well as the quality meat raised right here at Wyebrook.

Beginning at 7:30 p.m., guests will enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres with a complimentary beer toast from Wyebrook’s neighbors at Victory Brewing. The remainder of the dinner, however, is BYOB. A family style dinner will follow on the top floor of Wyebrook’s restored stone barn where guests will be seated together at 12-foot-long reclaimed wood tables with panoramic views of Wyebrook’s landscape.

The menu will include: Dried Eggplant with pickled milder spiral and fresh robiola; Arugula salad with a candied citrus dressing,  native persimmon, nepitella and poached tongue;  Cardoon, a two-year-old Seven Sisters cheese; Roasted Chioggia Beets with lavender and ginger;  Acorn Dumplings in a cream sauce prepared with  Jersey cheese; Oxtail with macaroni and Cuerno de Toro; Wood Roasted Jersey Beef Rib and LoinPaw Paw Cakes with spice berry ice cream and an assortment of after-dinner cheeses.

The dinner is $80 per person, including tax and gratuity.  Seating is limited to 40 guests and reservations are required.  Those who would like to make a reservation should email [email protected].  Advance payment is required and is non-refundable.

It’s a farm-focused dinner you won’t want to miss so hurry to reserve that spot for yourself, friends and family!
