Wyebrook Farm Teams Up with Cook to Bring Farm Fresh Meats to Philadelphia

Many of you know that COOK has a deep respect for the process, not simply the product. They believe that a great meal is not a service one receives but an experience one participates in. That’s why the organization behind the state-of-the-art kitchen-classroom used for discovering, preparing and enjoying local and seasonal ingredients has decided to partner with Chester County’s very own Wyebrook Farm!

The Philadelphia food scene just got a “lotta bit” luckier. Although city goers already had fairly easy access to the farmland goods that surround them through ways of markets and special vendors, many will be absolutely ecstatic about this new availability of beef, pork, poultry and produce from Wyebrook. Best of all, starting Tuesday, June 19 and continuing every Tuesday throughout the summer, it will be easier than pie for city dwellers to get their hands on the freshest, healthiest offerings around.

It’s simple to order and there is no minimum purchase amount. Just visit Wyebrook’s product and price list to see what’s available and send all orders via email to [email protected] and indicate “Cook Pick Up” in the subject line. Then, go to COOK between 12  and 3 pm on Tuesdays, meet Farmer Dean and pick up your order. All orders must be placed by Monday at 3 PM for Tuesday pick-up.

While the “short trip” is nice for Philadelphians, it is still highly recommended to plan a trip to the Chester County farm. Nothing beats diving into a famous, delectable Wyebrook Burger while taking in the farm’s beautiful 355-acres. It is Dean’s goal for people to understand where and how their food is produced and he welcomes visitors to Wyebrook every Saturday and Sunday to shop in the farm’s on-site market and cafe, plus learn about their practices.
