2nd Annual Chester County Mac-n-Cheese Cook-Off Hits Kerr Park, June 9

Get cheesy with The Rotary Club of Thorndale at the Chester County Mac-n-Cheese Cook-Off! The throwdown takes place on Sunday, June 9, from noon to 4 p.m. at 1 Park Lane (across from Kerr Park).

Molly Maguire’s Irish Restaurant & Pub, Bordley House Grille, Station Taproom and more will be tickling your taste buds with their ooey, gooey concoctions. Whether made with cheddar, parmesan, provolone or Monterey Jack and topped with bread crumbs, bacon or pancetta, the mac-n-cheese variations will be a great treat for all attendees, who will also have the option to judge their favorite. At least 1,000 attendees and participants are expected at the Cook-Off, which also will feature live music and a kids’ pasta craft table. Wawa will be providing free cold drinks for the first 500 attendees, and Victory Brewing Company will be selling its famous root beer with a tasty rendition of the cheesy American dish.

Proceeds from the Cook-Off will support local and international Rotary Initiatives. Additionally, each first place winner will have a donation awarded in their name to a nonprofit organization aligned with one of Rotary’s six areas of focus.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children (ages 6-12), and can be purchased at the event; cash only, please. For more information or to register as a sponsor or cook-off participant, check out the event website or email [email protected]. You can also follow along with the fun on Facebook!
