Vegetarians and vegans will be thrilled to hear this: A new restaurant, The Art of V, just opened in Manayunk at 4615 Main Street!
The new spot is owned by former Philly cop Arthur Johnson and partner Benhaz Shiraz, the owner of Ali Baba, which was previously housed in the location. At the helm in the kitchen is Chef Muss Clark.
Eater reported last week that Johnson hopes to push The Art of V beyond just serving food and to host art exhibits, live music, karaoke, dinner theater and classes on how to eat healthy. Johnson was also quoted in an article on Newsworks.org as saying, “If we can show one child how to care, teach him something wonderful, he we will take that and spread it.” Opening the restaurant fulfills a dream for Johnson, a lifelong Philadelphia resident.
The Art of V, which will serve fresh juices and smoothies and a menu specializing in plant-based dishes, is located 4165 Main Street. Will you be visiting? We’d love to hear your review!
