Spring is here at last, and with it comes the opening of the Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation!
Visit the Plantation on Saturday, April 6, to enjoy the countryside and visit the farm animals. Hearth cooking, woodworking, long rifle demonstrations, spinning, weaving, working with flax, dulcimer music, tea in the parlor, candle making and seed planting will also be part of the day. Take an architectural tour of the buildings on the grounds of the Plantation and enjoy various refreshments.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last entry at 4 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for children ages 4-12. Children younger than 4 are free.
The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation is an authentic living history site with the purpose of enhancing understanding of 18th-century farm life in Southeastern Pennsylvania by providing high-quality, research-based experiences to the public.
