Giant Butter Sculpture, Pennsylvania Wines & More to be Showcased at 98th Pennsylvania Farm Show, January 4–11

Get out those 2014 calendars and mark down January 4–11 to celebrate agriculture at the 98th Pennsylvania Farm Show. Pennsylvania is proud to host the largest indoor agricultural exposition in the country, with nearly 6,000 animals, 10,000 competitive exhibits and 300 commercial exhibits.

Red WineAlways the belle of the ball, the 1000 pound butter sculpture will be back for another year. One of the most popular attractions at the Pennsylvania Farm Show is the Food Court which offers visitors a variety of Pennsylvania products including the famous Farm Show baked potatoes. The Food Court generates income to support the non-profit Pennsylvania Agricultural Commodity Organizations.

Visit the The PA Preferred Culinary Connection Cooking Demonstration Stage in the Main Exhibit Hall to experience eight days of locavorean paradise, featuring samples, displays and cooking demonstrations by your favorite local chefs, media personalities and special guests.  Each day has a different theme, filling your plate with great ideas for enjoying the plentiful bounty of specialty crops and food produced in Pennsylvania. Sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and Turkey Hill, this unique program lets young people and their families learn about Pennsylvania’s number one industry—agriculture—in a fun, engaging way. With a special map to guide our detectives and interactive stations throughout the complex, this is a great way to experience the Farm Show as a family.
