Kermit’s Bake Shoppe has started up its long-awaited delivery service You know what that means—pizzas, pastries and so much more are all now just a telephone call away.
The addition of delivery coincides with new hours for the bakery and pizzeria on Washington Avenue and a refresh of the classic menu for fall. Kermit’s is now open from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily, with delivery beginning at 11 a.m. Additions to the carryout menu include breakfast hot pockets in lieu of croissants, seasonal items such as pumpkin and apple blondies and sweet potato pop tarts, hearty soups and “The Kerminator” pizza. The popular bagels remain a weekend-only item, while supplies last, but a variety of house-made cream cheese spreads are new.
A slightly modified version of the menu is available for delivery. It omits most of the traditional cakes—which would not travel well on a bike—but does include a new flourless chocolate cake. The chocolate cake joins the 8” gluten-free pizza dough and baguettes on the menu as gluten-free options.
Notes on delivery:
- $15 minimum order (plus a $2 delivery fee)
- The initial delivery area is Reed Street to Broad Street to Walnut Street to 36th Street
- Last call for delivery orders is 9:30 p.m.
