Kildare’s Irish Pub Fights Cancer with Craft Beer

On Tuesday, October 1, all five locations of Kildare’s Irish Pubs, including right here in West Chester (as well as in Manayunk, Scranton, State College and Newark, Del.), will kick off a month-long Cans for Cancer initiative, which provides $1 from the sale of a selection of craft-brewed canned beers to a variety local and national charities. Throughout October Kildare’s will partner with Living Beyond Breast Cancer, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition and the Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund to promote cancer awareness and raise funds.

Kildare’s has teamed up with Oskar Blues, Sixpoint Brewery and Harpoon Brewery to offer an assortment of canned craft beer to help support this initiative. For each can that Kildare’s sells, $1 will be donated to the pub’s charity partner. The Manayunk, West Chester and Scranton locations will benefit Living Beyond Breast Cancer; the State College location will benefit the Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund; and the Newark Kildare’s will benefit the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.

Stop by Kildare’s and help kick cancer in the can! The restaurant is located at 18-22 West Gay Street in West Chester; phone: (610) 431-0770.
