New Fall Menu, Three-Day Anniversary Celebration and Expansion Plans on the Agenda for Manayunk Brewing Company

Happy Anniversary to Manayunk Brewing Co. (MBC), celebrating 17 years of business in October! In honor of the occasion, MBC is hosting a three-day celebration that you definitely don’t want to miss.

From Thursday, October 17, through Saturday, October 19, every guest will receive a slice of birthday cake. Guests can also choose from either the award-winning House Smoked Ribs or the Cedar Plank Salmon for just $17; these meals will include a complimentary pint of Schuylkill Punch or Bohemian Blonde.

Manayunk Brewing Co. has also just launched its fall menus for lunch and dinner, featuring several gluten-free options. The menu is organized into Shared Plates, Pub Favorites, Soups & Salads, Entrées, Burgers & Sandwiches and Stone Oven-Fired Pizzas, with complementing house-brewed beer selections from MBC’s great on-site brews.

Highlights from the expansive offerings include Deviled Egg Trio and Hot Crab Dip Skillet from the Shared Plates, Southern Fried Chicken Littles and Zucchini Parmesan Fries from the Pub Favorites and California Crab Chowder and Farmhouse Salad from the Soup & Salad menu, in addition to succulent St. Louis Ribs, hearty Pumpkin Ravioli and crispy Fish & Chips from the entrée section. An extensive Burger & Sandwiches section is made seasonal with the addition of Granny’s Fall Chicken Sandwich—topped with crisp granny smith apple slaw and blue marble jack cheese—and a hearty Hickory-Smoked Brisket sandwich with mushrooms, onions and creamy horseradish mayo on baguette.

Stone Oven-Fired Pizzas are still fired up and a popular option, from Classic Margherita style to the Kennett Square—with assorted mushrooms, caramelized onion and goat cheese—and Roasted Chicken Pesto Pizza. Additionally, “Sushi Eddie” continues to man his Sushi Bar—going on 13 years and having recently returned from Japan. Sushi is available in-house both at the sushi bar and throughout the restaurant and bar and is also a popular take-out item.

“Yes, we offer a lot! We have a big space, and with that we have the opportunity to offer many options. We change the menus seasonally and it all comes together nicely with the beers we’re currently brewing,” says Managing Partner Michael Rose. “But the big upcoming news is our brewing capacity is expanding greatly for next year. We’re looking to double our brewing capacity, which can eventually triple our production.”

Some of the beer now available from Manayunk Brewing Co.’s includes Oktoberfest, Yunkin’ Punkin’ and Session Ale, among other offerings. MBC will soon start canning its holiday brew, Festivus. Manayunk Brewing Co. is currently brewing around the clock to satisfy both in-house and external demands and to store beer for the construction that will be going on late this year. During construction, Manayunk Brewing Co. will cease brewing for several weeks. But worry not—this just means that MBC’s brewing capacity will be doubling for 2014! During construction, Manayunk Brewing Co. will offer an expanded list of local and regional craft beers to complement its own selection.
