New York Times Highlights 36 Hours in Philadelphia

Philadelphia has come a long way in just a few short years, all the while imprinting the mark of Brotherly Love on every visitor’s mind. It’s developed into a bit of a cultural icon even, and recently “hit it big time” with a feature in The New York Times.

The article, carrying a Layover-esque feel from Anthony Bourdain’s hit show, focuses on 36 Hours spent in the city of Philadelphia. Well known spots are nodded at as crucial stops to make if in the city for that short period of time. Among the mentions are Federal Donuts, Johnny Brenda’s, Fette Sau, Han Dynasty, Frankford Hall, The Barnes Foundation, The Philadelphia History Museum, the National Constitution Center, Monk’s, the 13th Street corridor in Midtown Village, Franklin Mortgage, Ranstead Room, the Hotel Monaco, and many more.

Written by Freda Moon, she kicks things off on a truly flattering note with this introduction:

“A CITY with dozens of beguiling neighborhoods, a daunting number of world-class museums and a key role in the story of the nation’s founding, Philadelphia has seen a parade of openings over the last decade: ambitious design-centric boutiques, an ever-expanding universe of Stephen Starr restaurants and stylish hotels in artfully remodeled historic high rises.” READ THE REST.

In other news, Bradley Cooper loves Philly, too!
