P.J. Whelihan’s Kicks It Up a Notch with Meadows Rocks! and HopDevil Wings

P.J. Whelihan’s is tapping into their wild side in 2013 by producing one delicious donation for Simpson Senior Services’ Meadows Rocks! fundraiser and mastering a great appetizer on the first LTO Menu of the year.

Starting in January, P.J. Whelihan’s kicked off a dynamite LTO Menu, which they will continue to change up regularly. However, now running at their Downingtown location, is a jam packed special line-up, featuring a few limited appetizers plus various gourmet dishes as well, like Asian Kickin’ Chicken Salad comprised of grilled chicken breast over mixed greens tossed in cucumber wasabi dressing and served with wasabi peas, sliced pear, cucumber and lo mein noodles. P.J.’s is also slinging a Stuffed Grilled Cheese on the LTO menu, which packs a serious punch with its multigrain bread grilled and stuffed with garlic spinach, artichoke, cheddar and provolone cheeses.

One item that has PA Eats drooling is the HopDevil Wings, created with a little help from the local brewing favorite, Victory Beer. While you may be thinking the appetizer’s name comes from the beer’s official title, HopDevil, Jim Fris, COO of PJW Restaurant Group, jokingly insists that “the “hop” is obviously from the beer aspect and the “devil” part comes from the heat, which will eat your heart on the way down.” Apparently, these bad boys have a kick but  it’s definitely a pleasant one that you should speed over for and enjoy!

Now that P.J.’s mouthwatering cuisine is on your mind, consider scoring a hearty offering of their wings, pulled pork sliders and additional cuisine at the Meadows Rocks! fundraiser on Saturday, March 9. For just $7.50, guests can attend the benevolent affair at Simpson Meadows (101 Plaza Drive, Downingtown) scope out all the family fun, games and prizes, then enjoy a delicious meal and light hearted award ceremony after.
