Philadelphia’s culinary scene has had the big time spotlight on it as of late, not just by food critics but by acclaimed chefs as well. Everyone wants a piece of this newish, innovative food and craft drink mecca. So who’s up to take the next bite?
Turns out Spike Mendelsohn, who you may know as one of the best Top Chef contestants of all time has his heart set on the City of Brotherly Love. Although sent home just shy of the finale, this culinary genius proved himself in the aftermath by opening Capitol Hill’s award-winning burger joint, Good Stuff Eatery and We, The Pizza. In addition, he’s shared his recipes with the world through his publication The Good Stuff Cookbook.
But that’s not enough. Spike has officially confirmed that he signed a deal to open up shop on Walnut Street in Philadelphia. The exact address and restaurant name are not yet mentioned but stay tuned for more details!
