The 2014 season of the Delco Story Slam opens on January 15th with one of the funnest themes—Embarrassing Moments!
At the Delco Story Slam, anyone can take the stage and tell a five minute true story based on the theme of the night. The audience watches as daring storytellers tell adventurous tales without notes or props. If you are the person who entertains friends and families with stories, now is the time for you to take to the stage and compete! Your story will be videotaped and put on the Delco Story Slam Youtube Channel to share with friends. Those who win a monthly story slam are also invited to compete in the 2014 Delco Grand Slam for the title of Best Storyteller in Delco.

For the January 15th event, we’re looking for stories about embarrassing situations. Perhaps you struck out during a job interview or made an absent minded mistake which led to unfortunate consequences. How did you react to your embarrassing moment? Were you able to save yourself or did you leave red faced and shamed? What do we learn from embarrassing moments? We’ve all experienced painful learning opportunities and have stories to tell.
The Delco Story Slam is held at Burlap and Bean in Newtown Square. This coffeehouse and music venue is also a BYOB. The show begins at 7 pm. You can reserve tickets by clicking HERE.
