Over here at PA Eats, we’re in the business of keeping up with the latest and greatest in food and drink trends. We love breaking stories to you, our audience. Once we’re informed, we can’t help but feel giddy about passing it along to you. After we were introduced to the new smart phone app Check & Cook, let’s just say our interest was definitely piqued. And we think you’ll be fairly intrigued as well.
Have you ever found yourself rummaging through your cupboards unable to find anything to make for dinner? Trust us, you’re not alone. How often do you have food that goes by the wayside only to expire later down the road?
The concept behind this new app is very simple with very real results. Enter the various ingredients found in your refrigerator and cupboards. Shake your smart phone and then scroll through the thousands of recipes generated based on the ingredients you have right in your own kitchen. No time to head to the grocery store on a busy Thursday night? No problem! Now you have an abundance of recipes to experiment with that are sure to please everyone sitting down at your table.
The man behind Check & Cook, Pierre-Louis Sauvaige, hopes the app, set to launch June 20 in the AppStore, will help everyone cut down on food waste in the kitchen.
