On Wednesday, May 20, more than 100 Philadelphia businesses plan to band together in the name of some very loveable, furry-four legged friends. These establishments will donate 10% of their sales for the day to local animal shelter Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (more widely known as PAWS). The event is the focal point of a month-long fundraising effort to win an extra $50,000 grant from the Found Animals Foundation. PAWS is the city’s largest no-kill shelter and provides basic veterinary care at a low cost to those who cannot otherwise afford it.
Be sure to check out the full list of participating businesses.
