From a festival celebrating all things Irish to one that puts blueberries in the spotlight, we’ve got four great ways for you to spend your weekend in one of our favorite places, Gettysburg:
Adams County Irish Festival (July 16)
Irish music and dancers, food and beer, bagpipes, Irish gift vendors and more will be on hand at the Adams County Irish Festival. The cost to attend the event, which will be held at Moose Park from 10 a.m.–5 p.m., is $10 per person, free for kids under 12. 100 Moose Rd., Gettysburg
Gettysburg National Base Ball Festival (July 16–17)
Eighteen vintage baseball clubs from around the country will be in Gettysburg this weekend for the Gettysburg National Base Ball Festival, which will showcase how the game was played in the past (think wool uniforms—in this heat!). The fun, family-oriented festival unfolds at Schroeder Farm. 965 Pumping Station Rd., Gettysburg
Blueberry Festival at Hollabaugh Bros. (July 16–17)
If you love blueberries, this Gettysburg-area festival is for you. Head to Hollabaugh Bros. from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. on July 16 and noon–5 p.m. on July 17 for blueberry-oriented kids’ activities, blueberry samples, blueberry ice cream, blueberry pies and more. You can even pick your own blueberries to take home with you! 545 Carlisle Rd., Biglerville
Summerfest at Mulligan MacDuffer Adventure Golf (July 16–17)
Mini golf and more are on the agenda at Mulligan MacDuffer Adventure Golf’s Summerfest, which also includes ice cream, free hot dogs for golfing customers, contests, a DJ and other fun activities. Wear your Mulligan MacDuffer t-shirt and golf for free! 1360 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg
