Based in Maryland and coming off of its Shark Tank success, Hungry Harvest is heading our way and will be setting up delivery to locations in the Philadelphia area. The company buys aesthetically imperfect produce from farmers and wholesalers, then creates produce boxes for weekly shipment to customers.
Although Hungry Harvest won’t be offering home delivery to Philadelphia-area residents right away, they will be having pick-up locations at areas in the city and the surrounding suburbs. It’s a great way to ensure that perfectly good produce, although a little visually imperfect, does not go to waste. Plus, for each box you receive, Hungry Harvest donates a meal to a family in need.
