Tap Into Your Creative Spirit at Pinot’s Palette

Pour a glass of vino and tie on a smock. At Pinot’s Palette, a sip and paint studio tucked into the Olde Ridge Village Shoppes in Glen Mills, it’s all about turning an evening with friends into a creative adventure. Owner Jen Rolecki said, “It’s fun art, not fine art.” And fun it is.

Pinot’s Palette is a BYO food and beverage art workshop with a lounge feel, offering a variety of classes for all ages. Trained teachers with backgrounds in art guide students in these one- to three-hour sessions where they create their very own versions of the painting du jour. It’s a casual lesson in art, a chance to flex dormant creative muscles and, most importantly, an opportunity to socialize.

An increasingly popular girls’ night out forum, Rolecki said that groups of women comprise the majority of her clientele. Particularly as the cold weather bears down in the area, the classes at Pinot’s Palette offer a break from the norm, a venue in which to have a few drinks and catch up without sitting around on a bar stool. “It’s entertaining,” said Rolecki, and it’s purposeful. At the end of the session, each person walks away with a polished piece of art that they made themself.

Menu of Services

pinots-palette-7While serving as a venue nouveau for group happy hours, date nights or ladies’ nights, Pinot’s Palette hosts an array of classes and events. Open studio hours allow clients to paint with minimal instruction. Jigsaw Classes bring everyone together with the creation of multiple panel canvases that, when next to each other, comprise one larger image. This is similar to the dual classes where two people of any age create one image with canvases that visually blend together. Corporate and private parties and fundraisers are held in a special room in the back of the studio, which is connected to a comfortable lounge with oversized couches and coffee tables. Wine-glass painting classes allow for a unique 3D experience.

A hugely popular class is Project Pet, which allows students to paint incredibly realistic portraits of their animals with the guidance of a professional pet portrait artist. Pinot’s Palette prints a digital photo of each client’s fluffy friend onto a canvas and readies a customized set of paints according to the animal’s coloring. The results are both impressive and heartwarming.
