Tlaxkalli Mexican Tortilleria & Taqueria, West Chester’s first and only tortilleria, has opened its doors on the corner W. Gay and Wayne streets in the freshly repurposed space previously occupied by Culinary Deliveries.
Tlaxkalli, Nahuatl for “tortilla,” offers authentic Mexican cuisine with foodie flair and an emphasis on housemade, organic masa tortillas. Complex flavors underscore a seemingly straightforward menu that spans breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert.
Easy Pickup or Even Easier Delivery

Tlaxkalli offers ease and convenience with options for phone and in-person ordering. The friendly kitchen staff is happy to guide you through meat, bean, cheese and salsa selections as you customize your meal.
Though Tlaxkalli operates primarily as a take-out and delivery restaurant, they also plan to install bar seating along the big, beautiful windows where diners might be tempted to stay and enjoy their meals in-house.
And, if you’re lucky enough to be within a 3-mile radius of Tlaxkalli, they’ll deliver their fantastic food to your door!
Menu
Tlaxkalli aims to bring classic Mexican street foods to West Chester and boasts a bountiful menu.
Breakfast options include both kid- and adult-sized breakfast burritos, chilaquiles (cut tortillas simmered in red or green salsa with two eggs and cecina) and a Mexican breakfast skillet of potato, onion, chorizo, cheese and eggs.
Lunch and dinner entrees include nachos with chorizo, jalapeno and queso fresco, burritos, gorditas, enchiladas and tostadas, among many other traditional favorites.
The burrito bowl is a delectable, customizable burrito meal of rice, your choice of beans, cheese, meat and salsa topped with sour cream and lettuce. Tlaxkalli’s tinga chicken option is slow-cooked to divine tenderness and masterfully seasoned. Cucumber salsa offers an earthy, layered freshness while the traditional “red” sauce offers a perfectly tangy finish.
Tlaxkalli also offers an array of pastries and desserts at varying levels of sweetness such as flan, churros and gelatina de cajeta (dulce de leche gelatin). The pina colada fluff is a Mexican-style ambrosia, notably measured in sugar, made with with marshmallows, pineapple and nuts, and arguably a meal unto itself.
Fitting Right In
Tlaxkalli Tortilleria fits right into West Chester, a town on the move, with its focused and delicious take-out menu. With neighboring Dona Linda offering strictly traditional fare and Californian-influenced Burrito Loco catering to the university crowds, Tlaxkalli brings a welcome creative nuance to the scene with its organic housemade tortillas and creative twists on classic Mexican favorites.
