Volunteers Needed for Brandywine Stream Cleanup Event (March 25)

Lend a hand and help protect the environment by joining forces with Downingtown Parks and Recreation to volunteer your cleanup services on March 25.

This important volunteer event will take place from 9 a.m.–noon to clean up East Branch Brandywine Creek and remove invasive plant species. Volunteers will meet in the parking lot by the all abilities playground in Kerr Park to get started. The cleanup will progress along the East Branch Brandywine Creek through Kerr Park and Johnsontown Park, with volunteers working together to ensure that the area remains a clean, environmentally sound location for all to enjoy.

This is a family-friendly event, so the whole family is welcome to attend. Volunteers are asked to register in advance so that the proper materials may be prepared for the event. Trash bags will be provided, as will a limited supply of gloves. Volunteers are asked to bring their own gloves, should they have them available.

Bring the family to Kerr Park on March 25 for this community-wide volunteer opportunity!
