Philadelphia’s Musi Named One of 16 Best New Restaurants in America by Eater

Congrats are in order for Chef Ari Miller and his team at Musi, a charming BYOB in South Philadelphia. This already-beloved local spot was just named “One of the 16 Best New Restaurants in America” by Eater. Listed alongside other up-and-coming restaurants, like Call Your Mother in Washington DC, and Verjus in San Francisco, Musi was praised by Eater for its simple, unpretentious and imaginative food.

Miller, a Bucks County native, has made a name for himself working in various Philadelphia restaurant kitchens, and more recently for his FrizWit cheesesteak pop-ups and Food Underground dinner parties. Musi, which is named after a fish monger Miller came to know and love while living in Tel Aviv, Israel, opened to much acclaim in early 2018. From the jump, guests were won over with hyper-local ingredients and globally-inspired cuisine. The daily menu changes frequently, but always serves to showcase the bounty of the region, as well as Miller’s technical skill and sense of humor.

Musi is open Thursday through Sunday from 5 to 10 p.m.; make your reservations here.

Find Musi at 100 Morris St. in Philadelphia; phone: (215) 377-9466.
