Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter, or almond butter
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate, melted
- Chopped nuts, optional, for garnish
Method
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Spread a small amount of peanut butter onto 1 banana slice. Top with an additional banana slice making a small sandwich. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Place onto prepared baking sheet and freeze until firm, at least 1 hour, or overnight.
- Place chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 10-second increments, stirring between each increment until melted and completely smooth, about 40-60 seconds.
- Dip each frozen banana bite halfway into melted chocolate and return to baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with chopped nuts before chocolate sets. Return bites to freezer for about 10 minutes, or until chocolate hardens.
