The American Heart Association suggests that you eat between three and five servings of vegetables every day. While this may sound like an easy goal to hit, sometimes it may feel as though you’ve exhausted your veggie-making skills and your flavors are just plain blah. After all, steamed broccoli and roasted green beans will only take you so far when it comes to preparing interesting meals on a daily basis. Simple tips, however, like adding a pinch of sugar or massaging your greens, could elevate your veggies well beyond the dreaded “basic” status.
