Glen Macnow, Philadelphia sports authority and radio host on WIP, KYW Newsradio 1060, and 1210 WPHT, loves a good burger. He has been on the Great Hamburger Hunt for the best one in the Philadelphia area for the last 40 days.
Out of the 40 contenders, there is but one representing Chester County that has made the final cut—a burger with cheese, bacon and tomato from West Chester’s own Billy Burger!
Macnow writes, “Billy Burger is a tiny hole-in-the-wall, with a friendly staff, delectable bakery items and—yes—one fine burger. It’s cooked on a real grill, not just a silver cooking surface, so you get actual grill marks on your burger. Kind of small and thin, but it’s that good black angus beef that’s full of flavor. They also throw the Aversa white roll right on the grill to give it some char, which is a nice touch.”
