The Beekman Boys are Coming to Town!

We are thrilled that our favorite reality show stars will be in the West Chester area for an upcoming “Goat Day” at the beautiful Terrain at Stylers on Saturday, April 30th.  The very next day is another goat-themed day with the goat races at Sly Fox Brewery in Phoenixville and all those event details are here.  It’s gonna be a goat-tastic weekend!!

Back to the Beekman Boys….

Join the authors of GOAT: Meat, Milk, Cheese, Bruce Weinstein and Mark Scarbrough, and the founders of Beekman 1802 and authors of The Bucolic Plague: How Two Manhattanites Became Gentlemen Farmers, Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer Purcell, for a Q & A, recipe tastings, and book signings. Styer’s Garden Cafe will also be offering a goat-inspired dinner.

On the Agenda:

12-2P: Celebrate GOAT: Meat, Milk, Cheese with Bruce and Mark and learn what inspires their goat-centric recipes, sample a recipe from the book, and have a copy signed by the authors.

2-4P: Welcome back the Beekman Boys to terrain and explore their seasonal collection of goats-milk soaps and wellness products. Join them for a talk on their journey from Manhattan to the farm, enjoy a tasting of their forthcoming caramel, and have a copy of their book – or even a bar of soap – signed by the Beekman Boys.

Here is the information from the Terrain event website regarding the event…

“The Beekman Boys – two of our guests for “Goat Day”, on April 30th – recently spoke with NPR about their reality TV show “The Fabulous Beekman Boys.” The Planet Green show chronicles life on their Sharon Springs farm and the antics that ensue – from goats giving birth to hand-wrapping hundreds of their own soaps and everything in between. Click here to read the full article.

Let’s not forget that another pair of goat enthusiasts will also be in attendance for Goat Day: authors of GOAT, Bruce Weinstein and Mark Scarbrough. The ecclectic cookbook, recently reviewed by the LA Weekly, offers recipes in their ” signature slapstick-tinged conversational style” and has got everything from classic goat curries to Butterscotch Goat Milk Pudding.

We can’t wait for both Bruce & Mark and the Beekman Boys to join us for a goat-filled day of book signings, recipe tastings, Q & A, and more!

Though Goat Day is free, space is limited, so if you want to join us, make sure you register. For more info on Goat Day and other upcoming events, visit our events calendar.”
