Franks Wine Brings Back the Golden Wine Event for One-Time Pop-Up (Feb. 11)

After a 5-year hiatus, Franks Wine is bringing back its popular Golden Wine Event for a one-time pop-up on Saturday, February 11, from 6:30–9:30 p.m. at Harry’s Savoy Ballroom, located at 2020 Naamans Rd. in Wilmington.

Float from station to station in a stand-up cocktail party atmosphere with 20 vendors pouring 80 different wines that will be paired with regional dishes prepared by six different chefs. For the first time in the 13-year run of Franks Golden Wine Event, a craft beer station will feature four local brewers pouring 16 different beers.

The evening’s menu includes:

France

Pâté maison, fig mostardo, pecan and raisin crostini

Gougères stuffed with chicken liver mousse

Italy

Artisan cavatelli and guanciale pancetta, braised Lacinato kale

South American

Scarlett snapper ceviche, sweet potato chips

Black bean and sultana empanadas, chipotle aioli

Spain

Roasted suckling pig, olive and piquillo salad, onion rolls, Manchego

California

Chinois grilled chicken salad, citrus-sesame dressing

Salmon rillettes, watercress-fresh herb aioli, maitake duxelle

Craft Brews

Duck and sausage cassoulet

Lamb burger sliders, spicy carrot jam and mâche

Dessert

Chef’s selection of mignardises and pastry display

Tickets are $100 per person; $25 from each ticket will be donated to Kids Runway for Research. Additionally, Franks Wine will hold a silent auction, with 100% of proceeds benefiting the charity.
