Free Chowder Day in KOP

LEGAL SEA FOODS CELEBRATES
NATIONAL SOUP MONTH JANUARY 2008
WITH FREE CHOWDER DAY

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — On Tuesday, January 15 from 11 am to 1 pm, Legal Sea Foods at The Court at King of Prussia at 690 West Dekalb Pike, will celebrate National Soup Month by offering free cups of its award-winning clam chowder from its take-out counter, located adjacent to the restaurant.
“Our chowder is one of the best selling and most loved items on the menu,” says Legal Sea Food President and CEO Roger Berkowitz.  “Giving cups of Legal’s chowder away for soup month is a terrific way to thank our customers and encourage everyone to give it a try.”
Legal Sea Foods has been using the same traditional chowder recipe since its inception in 1970.  This delicious soup is a national treasure—it’s been served at the past seven presidential inaugurations.  Every batch is made with wholesome, old fashioned ingredients including salt pork, Idaho Russet potatoes and tender littleneck clams so fresh that each receives a stamp of approval from Legal’s rigorous quality control center.  Legal Sea Foods also offers a non-creamy Lite Clam Chowder, a tomato-rich Rhode Island Clam Chowder and a velvety Maryland Cream of Crab Soup.  Few dishes warm and satisfy like soup during the coldest months of the year.
The King of Prussia location, Legal’s only Pennsylvania outpost, offers guests a tremendous selection of fish and shellfish.  Legal Sea Foods’ highly skilled culinary team creates an inspired array of soups, appetizers and entrees that are bound to please.  The King of Prussia location has been lauded by local media outlets. Philadelphia Magazine called it “the best of our new seafood chains” and Inquirer restaurant reviewer Craig LaBan deemed Legal’s chowder “authentic.”
Located on the upper level of The Court of King at Prussia, Legal Sea Foods features a welcoming bistro atmosphere, created with fieldstone, glowing mahogany and rich colors evocative of the sea.  The casual, yet sophisticated ambience offers guests a gorgeous lounge, a 10 seat oyster bar and a private dining room, which accommodates up to 50 guests. Perfect for parties, business functions and other private events, the space is equipped with a fireplace and a large drop down screen for presentations. Modern amenities like wireless internet and a one-of-a-kind tableside, self-serve checkout, which lets guests pay their bill at the table without ever losing sight of their credit card, are also available.
