‘”The freshman 15’ is a term used in the United States and Canada to describe the weight students gain during their freshman (first) year of study in college or university. The term refers to the often-reported, yet unsubstantiated claim that freshman typically gain 15 pounds during their first year.” – Wikipedia
Hey Wikipedia, consider it substantiated. We found the source of the dreaded Freshman 15 at our very own West Chester Scoop, and we can prove it:
If you’re having trouble reading, allow me to translate (emphasis mine):
The Freshman Fifteen $27.95
15 Scoops
2 Sauce Toppings
Whipped Cream
6 Cherries for 6 people or more
I’m so glad that they don’t forget the cherries with this monstrosity. Could you imagine trying to plow through this thing without them? Rumor has it that if you can eat the whole thing by yourself you get a cool photo on the wall, but make sure you ask before you buy it in case they changed their policy. All I can say is Wow.
If anyone ever dares to take on the challenge, please let us know so we can document the momentous occasion and share it with the rest of the WC Dish community.
