Cosimo
This is one of my favorite area restaurants. For New Year’s, sample a series of different plates and pair your selections with one—or three—of their many wines by-the-glass. You can make reservations online at http://www.cosimorestaurant.com.
Limoncello
Their first New Year’s Eve in their expanded space, Limoncello is offering two seatings to say goodbye to 2008. Rack of lamb, lobster ravioli and osso bucco are just some of the highlights on this menu. And, don’t forget, Limoncello is BYOB, so be sure to bring your bubbly. Prices for this pre-fixed menu start at $60. Reservations are required. Call 426-6230.
Landmark Americana
For just a $10 cover, ring in the New Year right with a $3 “U” Call It Champagne Toast. Tickets are available on their website by clicking here http://www.landmarkamericana.com/wc-home.htm. Come back on New Year’s Day to watch all the college bowl games, too.
Ron’s Schoolhouse
Another area restaurant that went through a renovation this year is Ron’s Schoolhouse. For just $20 a ticket (or $25 at the door) you will get an all you can eat buffet, along with two drink tickets for house wines, draft beers or well drinks and a champagne toast at midnight.
Butterfish
Book fast! Butterfish is offering a special New Year’s Eve menu featuring many of their seafood specialties. Call 610-738-8800 for reservations.
15 North
Keep it simple. Head to 15 North where a $5 cover will get you in to hear the band Candiflyp. As their website claims: No New Year’s Eve Bullsh**. Just $5.
Stay In
Call me a homebody, but I typically prefer staying in to ring in the New Year. So, if you are like me, head over to Gadalaeto’s Seafood Market for their famous crab cakes, get some homemade fresh pasta at Carlino’s (http://www.carlinosmarket.com/) and some delicious treats from Cupcakes Gourmet, like the peanut butter cupcake (http://www.cupcakesgourmet.com/). Oh – and don’t forget to grab some take-out beer from Victory Brewing Company.
This is just a small selection of the events going on in and around West Chester for New Year’s Eve. Most of your favorite restaurants are open for business that night and ready for you to celebrate. Have fun and safely indulge in good food and good spirits. Your resolutions can start the next day!
